Welcome to our website and thank you for your interest in the Friends of the Battle Ground Community Library. We hope you will find this site helpful so you will better know who we are and what we do. We also hope you will consider becoming a part of our group. We now have a page on facebook, "Friends of the Battle Ground Community Library".
The Battle Ground Community Library serves much of Clark County. Although the library is in the middle of Clark County at Battle Ground, our members also have addresses from North and East Clark County, as well as Vancouver and Portland.
The Friends of the Battle Ground Community Library operate under the umbrella of the Fort Vancouver Regional Library Foundation.
We are a non-profit, grassroots organization of volunteers whose members have fun at book sales, Ben’s Books bookstore, and other events. Many other nonprofit organizations work with us to enhance our public library. See a list at our partners page. Our supporters strongly believe the often-quoted phrase, “Great libraries build great communities.”
Our purpose is to promote the Battle Ground Community Library. To do that we:
- Foster closer relationships between the Battle Ground Community Library and the community
- Enhance the functions, resources and services of the Battle Ground Community Library
- Receive and encourage gifts, endowments and bequests in support of the Battle Ground Community Library
- Advocate on behalf of the community for assurance of equitable and non-discriminatory sharing of common library district resources with access to library facilities and services as near as possible to community residences and schools.
